 Project Manager – School Publishing (Freelance)

(Les Éditions du Renouveau Pédagogique Inc.), one of Quebec's most important publishers, provides high quality textbooks since 40 years to teachers and students of all levels. Pearson Longman's English as a Second Language (ESL) textbooks are published and distributed in Canada by ERPI. Major Responsibilities
Reporting to the ESL Managing Editor, you will be responsible for the editing process of ESL classroom materials including textbooks and teacher's guides published by ERPI. You will have to coordinate projects in order to respect orientation, quality and production schedule required by the company. You will revise manuscripts, work with authors and supervise the work of copy editors and other collaborators. You will have to be knowledgeable about the Quebec Education Program and check that the textbook meets ministry standards for schools. Qualifications
University degree in English literature, linguistics or any related field of education.
5 years of related experience in publishing of educational products Knowledge of the Quebec Education Program (an asset)
Excellent oral and written English skills Demonstrated ability to coordinate more than one project and to supervise a team
Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills Very good listening skills Result oriented
