A scientific look at human beings and the environment
The Observatory collection represents the basic teaching material required for the four Secondary Cycle 2 programs: Science and Technology (ST), Environmental Science and Technology (EST), Applied Science and Technology (AST), and Science and the Environment (SE). Observatory
offers a variety of learning situations, stimulating activities and informative texts designed to help students broaden their knowledge of science and technology. By giving meaning and context to their learning, Observatory
provides students with the necessary groundwork to work independently as they develop their competencies in science and technology.
This collection is made up of two student textbooks that work like reference books. The first—Observatory-Humans—covers the two Secondary Cycle One programs (ST and AST); the second—Observatory-The Environment—covers the four Secondary Cycle Two programs (ST, EST, AST and SE). Together, these two textbooks deal with concepts from all Cycle Two education programs.
